One of the most special things we do at Caparelli Family Child Care is our garden project. The kids get to plant fruits and vegetables and take them home to care for. They watch them grow little by little, learning to be patient, responsible, and excited about healthy food. It’s amazing to see their faces light up when they notice the first sprout—or when it’s finally time to harvest what they planted with their own hands. It’s not just about gardening—it’s about growing together.
Rhonda Thomas has been with the Consortium since August 2016. She started at the Consortium as a Program Coordinator for the training contract then Accounting Assistant for the past year, and is currently is the Accounting Manager. Rhonda has been in the early childhood field for over 38 years working at a local preschool for 26 of those years. She enjoys spending time with her 8 grandchildren, sewing Halloween costumes for them and reading books whenever she can find the time.
At Reveles Family Child Care, learning and play go hand in hand—especially outdoors. Our days are filled with nature, curiosity, and connection, whether we’re planting, exploring, or simply listening to the world around us. I believe in nurturing the whole child with love, respect, and joy, helping them grow in confidence, creativity, and kindness every step of the way.
