Early Roots, Strong Futures

Integrating Child Care into Community Development

Together We Grow: A Vision for Sustainable Child Care in Every Community. Addressing child care zoning and regulatory frameworks, while sharing comprehensive data on child care needs, quality, and availability, is essential to building a sustainable system and infrastructure for child care programs—including family child care homes in Riverside County. Integrating these programs into community planning efforts is critical for supporting the development of thriving communities and strengthens family economic stability. By assuring the families that their children attend programs that provide high-quality early education for children birth to pre-kindergarten as well as before- and after-school care for students in kindergarten through 11th grade, we lay the foundation for a cradle-to-career system that promotes long-term educational and economic success.
