What interested you in becoming a childcare provider?

As a preschool teacher for the past 18 years, along with my experience as a preschool director, I have developed a true passion for child development. I wanted to create a program that was unique, flexible, and affordable for families in our community while providing children with a loving and nurturing environment to learn and grow.

What do you enjoy doing outside of childcare?

I enjoy hearing the birds, laying in my hammock, we aI love watching child development happen right before my eyes in the everyday classroom setting. From social-emotional development to language, cognitive, physical, and creative development, it is so rewarding to watch children grow, gain confidence, and reach new milestones.re hosting volunteers for Olive Crest

What is something unique about your childcare?

With my background as a preschool teacher and director, I created a unique, part-time, faith-based program that focuses on the whole child. My in-home preschool program provides a balance of all five child development domains while also incorporating a spiritual component. I strive to prepare children for grade school while still honoring their individual needs and allowing them to learn through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences.

What do you hope children gain from your time in your care?

Anything creative or art-related! I especially love doing open-ended art activities because there is no right or wrong way to create. I love watching the children use their imagination, express themselves, and come up with ideas all on their own.

Share a fun fact about yourself!

A fun fact about me is that I am a mom of three and have been married to my high school sweetheart. In my free time, you can usually find me at the gym or out on a run. I also serve on the board of a very special nonprofit organization called Project Eli, and I love volunteering in the children’s ministry at my local church, Sandals Church in Corona.
