Temple Beth El Child Development Center

This month’s Quality Start Riverside County (QSRC) “Shining Star” is Temple Beth El Child Development Center.

Temple Beth El Child Development Center has been serving families in Riverside County since 1965.          Trudy Oliver, Executive Director, has been leading the site for over 20 years. Temple Beth El is accredited by National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), as well as the Nutrition and Physical Activity Self-Assessment for Child Care (NAP SACC). The site has 8 classroom serving children ages 0-12 years.  In Trudy’s own words the center has “the most amazing staff.” All of the lead teachers are required to have their Associate’s Degrees and some of the teachers have been with Temple Beth El for over 16 years.  Temple Beth El is now a Tier 4 participant in the Quality Start Riverside County program, which includes Asthma Certification and Eco Healthy Practices.  Currently the site is working to integrate an outdoor classroom project into their center.  Temple Beth El also supports the Early Care and Education field by collaborating with Norco College to permit students the opportunity to complete their ECE internship at the site.
