Job Description Center Director The Center Director is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of Childrens Lighthouse. The Center Director reports to the Vice President of Operations and/or individual Owner.I. Experience/EducationA. Has minimum of 3 years experience as Center Director in licensed childcare center.B. Meets State Requirements for a State license as a Center Director, preferably with a non-renewable certificate.C. Maintains CPR and First AidII. AccountabilityA. Manages budget in compliance with owner expectations and home office guidelines.B. Manages correct implementation and use of ProCare system according to quality assurance set by home office.C. Manages staff according to the needs of the center, including overtime hours, training hours, number of employees needed, etc.D. Manages correct implementation of all administrative duties and procedures as listed in the quality assurance set by home office.E. Manages front offices, reception and staff room according to quality assurance set by home office.F. Manages kitchen and laundry areas according to quality assurance set by home office.G. Manages grounds and storage according to quality assurance set by home office.H. Manages playground according to quality assurance set by home office.I. Manages marketing according to quality assurance set by home office.J. Manages infant and toddler program according to quality assurance set by home office.K. Manages Pre-school program according to quality assurance set by home office.L. Manages school-age program and transportation according to quality assurance set by home office.M. Represents Childrens Lighthouse to public, community, parents, visitors and staff with professionalism and integrity.N. Manages technology and social media according to state laws, state licensing regulations, owners' requirements and home office standards.III. Key Responsibilities and Expectations:Customer ServiceA. Manages customer feedback (surveys) according to quality assurance set by home office.B. Exhibits positive attitude at all times.C. Communicates appropriately with parents, staff, and children on a regular basis, while respecting their confidentially.Staff ManagementA. Trains and oversees management team appropriately to facilitate smoothand efficient operation according to owner's requirements.B. Excellent role model to staff in all areas, including dress code, following policies & procedures, good attendance, no gossip, care of equipment, center safety, good attitude, etc. according to CLLC and franchise Owner requirements.C. Communicates and supports change positively.D. Inspires staff to grow and recognizes their achievements.LeadershipA. Supportive of company values, supervisor, management team and corporate.B. Maintains control and calm in startling or difficult situations.C. Participates in activities of professional and personal growth.D. Follows through and completes all assigned duties in a timely manner.E. Accepts feedback and direction in appropriately.IV. Other DutiesA. Maximize enrollment and/or enrollment expectations set by franchise Owner.B. Implements new procedures necessary for continual compliance and improvement.C. Oversees or takes part in the recruitment, hiring and training procedures, supervision and evaluation of staff.D. Attends meetings and training as directed.E. Wise productive use of time.F. Able to work various days and hours to ensure the center is managed and operated according to owners, licensing and home office standards.G. Meets licensing trainer requirements and provides appropriate monthly training to staff with appropriate topics approved by CLLC and/or Owners.H. Ability to independently analyze situations in order to provide positive solutions with parents, children and staff.I. Ability to use technology as required and used by Childrens Lighthouse.
