CPIN Region 10 is pleased to offer a two-day Summer Institute
for Preschool Administrators, Teachers, and Paraprofessionals
throughout Riverside and San Bernardino Counties!

July 10 & 11, 2018
Day 1: 8:00 – 3:30 Day 2: 8:00 – 12:00
Registration is for both days of the institute, no single day registrations

Sessions being presented:
English Language Development, Listening & Speaking – strategies to support Dual Language Learners
and assist them in building a foundation of listening and speaking skills, with a focus on specific
strategies to support children in developing and enhancing their vocabulary.
English Language Development, Reading – discover new ideas as we practice using the ELD
foundations and framework to intentionally plan and develop culturally and linguistically responsive
interactions and strategies to support reading.
Family Partnerships and Culture – a book-walk through this new CDE Publication aimed to assist early
childhood professionals in the development of cultural competence in working with children and
families from diverse cultural backgrounds. Each participant will receive a copy of this publication
